“Africa’s World Cup, Our World Cup” SEDYELs All Star event will evoke a sense of African pride and individual aspiration in motivating young people to buy-into the goal of an HIV-free Africa and the personal action needed to achieve that goal.
The All Star Tournament on the 22 and 23 of August is SEDYEL’s annual event where best players from the SEDYEL teams are selected to form teams and participate in the tournament, hence dubbed All Star. This year’s tournament is the 3rd since SEDYEL started the event. The long term objective is to select players for the SEDYEL United team to be registered in the National Football Federation League.

SEDYEL will select players to participate in 2 days of activities taking place in Ramotswa , Botswana at the SEDYEL Youth Center .

Using the pay-off line Africa’s World Cup, Our World Cup” the event will evoke a sense of African pride and individual aspiration in motivating young people to buy-into the goal of an HIV-free Africa and the personal action needed to achieve that goal.

A total of 30 teams (15 male and 15 females) derived from all the 5 villages within South East District; namely, Ramotswa, Otse, Mogobane, Taung and Tlokweng are expected to participate. The different age categories that will be featured in this tournament are under 13, under 17 and under 25 for both gender.
