In loving memory of Justin Mukumbo

5/4/2009
Linda Torége
Today, Monday the 4th of May 2009, Justin Mukumbo known as His Excellence, the President, from Sport in Action Zambia is buried. Justin was involved since the start of The Kicking AIDS Out Network.
Justin was involved in Sports Development for many years. He worked with Sport in Action in Zambia. He was a respected leader and facilitator that touched all with his humour and his passion for youth and sport development. Justin has contributed tremendously to the Kicking AIDS Out Network. He contributed to the development of training and curriculum and was one of few "masters" in the Network.

In May 2007 Justin, Lucinda Van den Heever and Vumisa Mayisela from SCORE represented the Network in Vietnam for the first time. In October 2008 Justin was sent to Papau New Guinea and Fiji to represent the Network together with Jacqueleane Wanyonyi. They trained the first Peer Leaders and Leader Level 1 leaders in Oceania. From that time Oceania was formally part of the Network.

All of us who have had the opportunity to work, learn and laugh with Justin, we would like to express our sorrow and sense of loss of someone who was a compassionate and dedicated leader, both for the rights of today's youth and the overall health and well being of the Zambian community. May Justins soul rest in peace.
