During volleyball practice the famous condom ball was used to do a ball game which also tested their knowledge of HIV/AIDS by asking quiz questions. In the fitness area a different approach was taken. Visitors were asked to join a quick quiz on HIV/AIDS facts. To integrate the Kicking Aids Out activity into their workout answers were given by doing ab stretches . But there was more than just Kicking AIDS Out activities.
A group of white clothed ‘pregnant’ women walked through the sports centre and invited visitors to listen to a message from the ‘unborn’ child. This poetic message informed visitors about the risks of malaria for both mother and child and ended with malaria prevention tips. Both volunteers and participants were very enthusiastic.
