SEDYEL scoops the National Vision Award

9/22/2009
Modire Pikashe
The Botswana National Vision 2016 awards ceremony held on the 18th September 2009 saw SEDYEL amongst the winners of the 2009 vision 2016 award for having excelled in their pursuit of the national vision goals and aspirations.
The Nation vision awards were first introduced in 2004 as part of gauging awareness and commitment towards the national vision. SEDYEL won under the pillar of an Educated and Informed Nation, Safe and Secure Nation as well as United and Proud Nation that seeks that by the year 2016 all Batswana should have access to education and should be a nation that stands together in developing the lives of its citizens. Receiving the award on behalf of SEDYEL at the glamorous award ceremony in Gaborone, Boitumelo Magosi also called Metto, SEDYEL Peer Education Coordinator and a Kicking AIDS Out Leader Level 2, indicated to the delegates that it was through hard work, disciple and commitment that SEDYEL won the award. Magosi dedicated the award to all SEDYEL volunteers and urged them to be inspired by the award to continue to better their lives and the lives of their peers. She further acknowledged all SEDYEL partners indicating that it is through their invaluable support that SEDYEL continues to be a model of excellence.
