Introduction:
Football for All in Vietnam (FFAV) is a Non Governmental Organization funded by The Football Association of Norway (NFF) and NORAD. FFAV started in 2000 in Hanoi and moved to Hue in 2003, the office is now based in Hue, working with the provinces of TT Hue and Hai Phong. The project goals is to establish  grassroots football clubs with 50/50 boys and girls participation, aged  from 6 to 12, and girls from 13 to 15, to build sustainable structures in civil society, based on democratic principles.  This is to promote gender equality in the local communities, and develop non competitive grassroots football in Vietnam. The organization is especially focused on marginalized groups such as HIV/AIDS infected and affected, ethnic minorities, disabled children and street children

Vision/Mission:
The FFAV plays a role in enhancing communities as a healthy, safe and fun place to live through “Football for All”

How is the organization incorporating Kicking AIDS Out:
FFAV is a member of Kicking AIDS Out network. Leader level 1 courses have been organized once a year by FFAV with support from NIF and Kicking AIDS Out network. Three participants from FFAV has participated at the Kicking AIDS Out Leader level 2 course.

The positive response from the community and the work off FFAV staff has been nothing else but a success. As the independent organization now has a number of 92 Football clubs, 8000 players, and 2800 coaches, leaders and referees trained. They have arranged over 300 football tournaments, started a training center in Hue, and built 2 artificial and 13 gravel pitches. Local contribution is increasing steadily, and has resulted in more than 25 new gravel pitches financed by local communities. A dramatic drop in both absence and drop out from primary and secondary school has been proved where the project has activities. FFAVs work continues to push against more positive outcomes to progress football activity in Vietnam.
