Introduction:
Established by Royal Charter in 1996, UK Sport works in partnership with the home country sports councils and other agencies to lead sport in the UK to world-class success and is accountable to Parliament through the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. UK Sport has been involved in International Sport Development for the last seventeen years and has worked in over 18 different countries, mainly within Southern Africa. At the heart of this development work has been the belief that the UK should play a role in increasing opportunities for young people in developing countries to participate in sport.

How is the organization incorporating Kicking AIDS Out:
UK Sport currently focuses its development efforts at three different levels; targeting communities, capacity building and policy and advocacy initiatives. Through our International partners across Southern Africa we are involved in a range of projects, programmes and initiatives to achieve sport development objectives. UK Sport supports and participates in the Kicking Aids Out network.
