Today the Kicking AIDS Out Network is administrated by one full time staff Mr James George Nange Otieno and one intern, Mrs Caroline Wanjiku Nange based in the Secretariat in Cape Town. In Nairobi Kicking AIDS Out has one 50% employed regional coordinator, Mr Evans Odago, and in Caribbean there is a 20% employed coordinator, Mr Ato Rockliffe. In Norway Linda Torege is working 20% as a special advisor supporting the Secretariat.
The concept of Kicking AIDS Out is implemented in 35 countries. More organisations want to join the Network. Kicking AIDS Out has an extensive Training and Leadership Pathway where leaders are followed closely. We believe that quality is key for delivery of good, fun and safe sport. The leaders that grow through Kicking AIDS Out progressive Training and Leadership Pathway are starting as coaches or athletes and are exposed to leadership development through areas of community development, governance and mentorship. Our mentorship philosophy is based on an accompaniment model- we walk the path together with our youth and as member organisations.
