Kicking AIDS Out signs resolution on violence against women in Sports

This meeting recognise that gender violence occurs in sport and can have severe damaging effects on participants, officials and organizations

The 27th of April the first lady of Zambia Madam Thandiwe Banda opened the Women in Sport Consultative Meeting in Lusaka.

During two days intense debates and deliberations was held with delegates from different NGOs, Government structures and sport federations met and discussed and learned more about Violence against women in Sport. Kicking AIDS Out! was represented by the Secretariat, Linda Torege. Sharon Musekwe Kicking AIDS Out LL2, manager of Go sisters program in Edusport, Enala a LL2 and Coach of the Zambian Womens Football National Team, Samantha a LL2 and volunteer for NOWSPAR was also present representing their respective organisations and Kicking AIDS Out Network.

On the last day of the consultative meeting all the delegates signed a resolution read it here.
