Lots of exciting things are happening in the first quarter of 2011 at NOWSPAR:
1. NOWSPAR are doing a presentation about our work at an NGO Session at the UN in New York.
2. NOWSPAR is warming up for International Women's Sports Day on 5th March. This year we are focused on activities in the rural areas and a few in the City of Lusaka. Get in touch to let us know what you are up to on this day and we can give you ideas on how to celebrate with us, others or on your own. You may also contribute to hosting of these events or host one yourself, contact NOWSPAR.
3. Youth Day is coming up on 12th March and our youth are super-hyped about it! We'll keep you informed of what will be happening and where.
4. A team of dynamic young Female Youth Sport Advocates from seven leading sport for development organizations in Zambia will be convening again in a few weeks to undertake further training in our ‘She Speaks for Herself’ advocacy program.
5. NOWSPAR is running a poll to get your views on harassment and abuse of girls and women sport. Take a few moments to respond to the poll question at the bottom right of our web site. Visit NOWSPARs website, Vote and be a part of the solution.
