The South East District Youth Empowerment League (SEDYEL) with the Kicking AIDS out Network will be running participatory debriefing sessions on the 16^th and 17^th February 2008 as a follow-up to the Sexual Health Training workshop that was conducted last year in Botswana. The debriefings will be conducted by two Master Trainers from the Kicking AIDS out Network, Justin Mukumbo from Sport in Action, Zambia and Kirstie Fieber, Kicking AIDS Out Curriculum Advisor, who will work together with Peer Educators to capture personal stories about how their work has changed after participating in the sexual health training and also examine gaps and successes in new skills of Peer Leaders.

SEDYEL Hosts 3^rd Annual Kicking AIDS Out Championships 

As SEDYEL will also be hosting their 3^rd Annual Kicking AIDS Out Championship Tournament on the 1^st of March 2008 in Botswana, the master trainers will also take this opportunity to design implementation strategy to integrate Kicking AIDS Out into the existing activities at SEDYEL focusing on the tournament and at the same time touch base on perceptions and longer term behaviour impacts. This year’s tournament will also be marking the Month of Youth Against AIDS Celebrations in the South East District Region, as March has been designated by the Government of Botswana as the month in which all HIV and AIDS interventions in the country will focus on sensitizing and involving the youth in the fight against HIV and AIDS. SEDYEL will be working with the District AIDS Multi-sectoral Committee and other community organization to deliver this year’s activities.
